Various admin-type tasks have kept me out of the studio for much of January. However, yesterday - despite the gloomy weather - I had a good art day: I completed the painting shown here, and a similar but more textured one is well on its way.
I've got quite a to-do list now: a visit to The Nags Head in Garthmyl (thenagsinn.co.uk) to hang a new painting, preparations for my next teaching day at Ferndell Studios (ferndellstudios.blogspot.co.uk), a commission of a cow, new canvases to buy, and two larger paintings of cats which I have in mind.
