Hot off the easel

Actually, I don't usually work on an easel, but flat on a table. I put the finishing touches to this little canvas this morning and put it in my online shop.


The figure is based on a sketch I produced at the life-drawing sessions I regularly attend. The model - who has sadly moved away now - is a yoga devotee, and this is apparent even in her simpler poses. I always enjoyed drawing her, and she told me she loved the results - what an accolade!


This afternoon, I'm back to my little abstract canvases, which have a more summery vibe, influenced by the sunshine and warmer temperatures.
