Autumn Exhibition

Yesterday was handing-in day for the Grosvenor Art Society Autumn Exhibition at Upton Golf Club, Chester. This time round, I have entered three framed paintings and three life drawings in mounts (all shown here), plus a selection of greeting cards.

As the hanging operation was well underway, I took the opportunity to have a bit of a look around, and I think that the standard is better than in the Spring Exhibition. There are several hundred works on display, to suit a huge range of tastes and prices, and many of the artists also have greeting cards of their work for sale too.

The preview is tomorrow evening and the exhibition is then open to all from Saturday, 6 October, through to Sunday, 14 October. Admission is free so why not call in and have a browse - you never know what might catch your eye!

My life drawings - looking a bit odd due to reflections from the cellophane wrapping.
