The sun has been coming and going over the past week - mostly going unfortunately. However, I was lucky enough to be out in the sunshine last Sunday, enjoying a long walk and collecting material for paintings. The countryside was so beautiful, I decided to embark on a series of landscape paintings this week, but the wintry weather sapped my ideas somewhat. So yesterday, I got my act together and painted this little sketch in acrylics, showing some oilseed rape fields, just to get going - though I intend to make a few changes to it later.
This morning I've been out in the sunshine again and am feeling re-inspired: more landscapes, semi-abstract I'm thinking, coming up .....
