I've decided that this summer, I'm going to try to produce some paintings of flowers - a new subject matter for me. In preparation, I've spent the past few evenings looking at and sketching aquilegia ... interesting shapes ... still very much at exploratory level ... but, for what they're worth, here are some of my doodles.
Tomorrow, I'm taking more work down to The Clive, near Ludlow and also to Jemima's Kitchen, in Church Stretton, as both venues have sold some of my work. Jemima's Kitchen usually do a delicious coffee and walnut cake - mmmm - Friday may be treat day!
