My euphoria about the sunny weather in my last post was clearly premature: this week - and especially today - it's dull, dull, dull, not to mention wet, wet, wet! Consequently, I haven't managed to get out and collect all the material I want for new paintings. Also, as there's been a lot of sanding going on at Diggle Towers recently, with all the wood dust in the air I haven't been able to make much progress on the acrylics front in the studio.
However, I braved the torrential rain yesterday evening and took myself off to life drawing in Shrewsbury. We had a male model this week, which is a bit of a challenge as we are more used to drawing feminine shapes. Shown here is one of my efforts.
