Shrewsbury Open Studios

As promised in my last post, here is the low-down on Shrewsbury Open Studios, which is to take place on two consecutive weekends: 6 and 7 July, and 13 and 14 July. There's lots more information on the Shrewsbury Open Studios website (http://shrewsburyopenstudios.co.uk/) including details of all the wonderful artists and makers taking part, photos of pieces of their very high-quality work, and the addresses of the various venues and opening times etc. Leaflets have also been distributed all over Shrewsbury and beyond, and there's a Facebook page, called - unsurprisingly - Shrewsbury Open Studios.

I have joined forces with another artist, Roger Keeling (rogerkeeling.co.uk), and we will be painting away at Ferndell B&B, 14 Underdale Road, Shrewsbury SY2 5DL - a lovely Victorian house which will be easily recognisable from the yellow balloons to be festooned about the place (ferndellbandb.co.uk). As it's very spacious, we can have loads of our paintings on display, and as well as original work, prints and greeting cards will also be available - and possibly a glass of bubbly too ....

In the meantime, the pace of my work has slowed somewhat due to a cold and sore throat, but here is a recently completed canvas, and some more summer-inspired paintings will be appearing here very soon.
