Sunshine colours

One notable feature of my Australia holiday last year was the bird life: brushturkey, kookaburras, rainbow and other lorikeets, and egrets to mention but a few.

And then there was the visit to Maleny Botanic Gardens and Birdworld where you can get up close and personal to some wonderful characterful macaws, cockatoos and parrots, and many other species too.

Over the past week, that visit - especially the "macaw on my shoulder" part - inspired my latest canvas, measuring 60 x 90. Here are some photos of its progress and close-ups showing the textured surface.
