On Saturday, I had things to do in Chester so, of course, my Moleskine sketchbook came along for the ride - though I only had time for a couple of quick sketches.

On Sunday morning, the bright sunny weather tempted me out for a bike ride and then, back in the studio, the lush greens and deep shadows inspired some lush and deep colours as I continued with my series of little abstract paintings.
